The study is based on a methodology proposed by European Association for Education Law and Policy for their research conducted in 2009 and devoted to commercialization, competition and corruption in European education. In the monograph, the attempt is made to apply their methods to analyze the commercialization, competition and corruption in Russian educational system that existed before the adoption of new educational legislation which came into force in 2013.

Accelerating globalization of world markets and increasing interdependence of the economies of the world has made policy-making very complex, especially in the United States. One of the most debated subjects in recent years has been whether the U.S. is capable of simultaneously dealing with serious domestic challenges and economic challenges from the rest of the world. It is becoming more important for the generalist in economics, political science, business, and other areas to understand the issues confronting the American economy in relation to rapid global economic change.
Recent advances in ultra-high-power lasers, including the free-electron laser, and impressive airborne demonstrations of laser weapons systems, such as the airborne laser, have shown the enormous potential of laser technology to revolutionize 21st century warfare. The Triumph of Politics offers a comparative and historical interpretation of Venezuela's Chavez, Bolivia's Morales and Ecuador's Correa – South America's most prominent ‘21st century socialists'.
